If you told me 10 years ago, I'd be promoting health through yoga teaching; I would not have believed you. Since then, life experiences of loss and failure, it has drawn me to the development of a meditation and mindfulness with the mind body connection. Yoga practice has brought the power within myself and the students I teach to learn how to slow down and reconnect within ourselves the value of mind body connection.
Our bodies are designed brilliantly to take care of ourselves through muscle repair, illness, reproduction, and even to achieve extraordinary athleticism capabilities. When we lose that connection pain and performance is affected. Developing a consistent yoga practice can improve strength, flexibility, and the mind body connection.
We only have control over what we can control. In yoga practice, this means use of our breath, body movement, thoughts and intentions which help regulate a healthy mind body connection for health and longevity.
