Foam rolling 101

Foam rolling is a SMR technique, self-myofascial release. The way I like to describe foam rolling as "smoothing out" the muscles to release tight spots due to overuse within a sport or exercise. Foam rolling is also beneficial for muscle recover for general populations.

In this mini course you will learn how to utilize foam rolling into your own routine, where the placement of the top of the roller should hit on the muscle tissue, and what modifications that can be made to increase or decrease the tension in the stretches.
